Quick Start Checklist

Before your products can be visualised in 3D, they need to be ready for liftoff. Here's what that means:

• Product must be Active (not Draft)

• Has at least one product image

• Alt tag is added to at least one image

• Variant SKUs are unique

• Dimensions are included (in title or description)

Step 1: Setting Up Your Product Images

In order to generate a 3D model of products you wish to enable visualisation for, we require a high quality image of your product.

You have two options for telling Imersian which images to use:

Option A: Manual Setup (Recommended for control)

1. Navigate to your product: Shopify Admin → Products → select a product

2. Find the image that shows the product.

3. Click on the image to edit it and add the tag below in the "Alt Text" field

4. Save the product

Option B: Automatic Setup (AI-powered)

If you have this feature enabled, Imersian will automatically:

• Scan your product images

• Identify the best top-down view image

• Set up the image for 3D processing

Alt Tag Cheat Sheet

Use these on your product images (you only need to tag one image per product to trigger sync):

• imersianvisualiserimage → Include in the visualiser

• imersianvisualiserskip → Ignore this image completely

⚠️ If no valid image is tagged, the product won’t sync.

Understanding the Process

What Happens After Setup

1. Sync Check: Imersian checks your products regularly

2. Validation: Only products with proper images are processed

3. 3D Creation: Valid products get 3D models created

4. AR Ready: Customers can now view products in the visualiser and AR

Timeline Expectations

• Initial sync: 24-48 hours after setup

• New products: Usually processed within 24 hours

• Updates: Changes to existing products sync within hours

Automate or Upload 3D Models

You can either:

A. Automate

• After sync, tagged products automatically queue for generation (250 credits per model).

• You receive 5 free models (250 credits) to start.

• Insufficient credits? We generate as many models as possible and queue the rest until you top up.

B. Manual Upload

• Already Have 3D models? Upload them first and link the correct SKU in the 3D Editor before tagging your image.

• Supported Formats:

  • .glb

  • .fbx

  • .obj

• Go to Create, upload and assign SKU manually.

Sync Products & Queue 3D Creation

Click Sync Products to fetch your Shopify listings and queue any tagged items for 3D creation.
We’ll automatically fetch new products every day, so you’re always up to date.



Synced products will appear as drafts in your Manage page.

Next step: Review them in Manage → click Publish Drafts to go live.
